About Pathfinder
Pathfinder’s roots trace back to 1989 when Fred Stewart became a CFP® professional and started F. Stewart & Associates. Fred completed financial plans for many of his colleagues in the US Forest Service back in those early days. The firm has grown and changed over the years but our core values of highly personalized, fee-only service from approachable advisors remain. Many of our current clients have worked with our firm for more than 20 years.
About the Team

Jill Tripp, CFP®
Jill began her career in financial planning in 2002 and became a CFP® professional in 2006. Jill has worked with the same planning firm, and some of her individual clients, for her entire career. She’s a proud alum of the University of Montana and still resides in beautiful Missoula, MT.
Although her clients come from diverse backgrounds, the bulk of Jill’s clients are either nearing retirement or already retired. She also has a specialty of working with Federal employees, both working and retired.
Her favorite part of the job is instilling confidence in her clients as they navigate complex financial questions and life’s transition points. Jill finds it extremely rewarding to watch her clients reach their goals and enjoy their retirement years. She treasures her client relationships that have developed over the years.
Outside of work, Jill enjoys board games, mystery novels, hiking, gardening, and following the Montana Grizzly sports teams. She also devotes time to her local chapter of P.E.O. and its mission of providing educational opportunities for women. She and her husband have two nearly-grown sons who keep them laughing and make them proud every day.
